Presenting Image Grammar

WOW!!!! THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN. Ashley idea about doing a French theme for our group really worked out well. I was very happy how our first day of presenting went well.

Being in front of the class and teaching, brings back all the reason that I love to teach. I love to have a good time with students. Even though these where my classmates, I love the rush that get.

I love the way Image Grammar's chapters flow together. How they all intertwine with each other and build off of one another. I thought that we looked and sounded great. When we first came into this project, I was thinking to myself, "How in the world are we going to teach for a whole hour and fifty minutes on this book." But it worked, actually it wasn't enough time. There is so much information in Harry Nodens' Image Grammar, I wish we had more time. I was also scared that our classmates would not be interested in our topic, because its about grammar and it is kind of complex. But I'm glad that our classmates where engaged in our topics and seem to be interested.

I had fun. I didn't think that I was going to be all that excited about presenting, but I was. Group projects don't usually work well with me, but this was interesting and I learned stuff. I'm happy that I was in the group that I was in and I absolutely loved presenting my information today.... IT WAS MAGNIFIC!

The dark woman / glanced sideways, evidently confused and her face flooded with seemingly endless tears. Her lover sat in a handsome manner across the bed and watched with a quiet thoughtful tone and glanced sideways at the clock. The rose petals on the magnificent carpet lay untouched and the pale faced portraits watching the argument glowed yellowish and waxy in the firelight. The pearly glow of tears that fell off her cheek were a result of his snakelike words that whipped across her blunt features. Speaking more to himself than to her, he ended their love affair with a ghostly “It’s over”. Slowly revolving her body to turn away, she finally spoke with a voice constricted with emotion. Unlike her usual high, clear voice, she squeaked incoherently. “Even in this dimly lit room, I can see the lipstick on your collar.” Uncharacteristic for the situation, they heard an eruption of jeering laughter from the party outside the room. Ignoring her drawn out cries of misery and pain, the man with vertical slits for pupils stood and strode toward the door. Though her hair started the night elaborately curled and her face showed a winning smile, now her hair drooped and mouth fell in sadness. He stopped, holding his body rigid and impassive, and his hairless head tilted a little. His lips parted and he opened his mouth wide and hissed angrily. “I never loved you.” Completely malevolent in bearing and demeanor, he faced her once more.
